Our Contract

Your contract with Somerset Hamper Company begins once your order has been placed and processed. We will confirm receipt of your order by sending you an “Order Confirmation Email” or by otherwise confirming your order back to you. The contract is complete when the goods are received.

Your Account

You can create an account with us by purchasing through our website, Please ensure that the details you provide are correct, complete and up-to-date, and inform us immediately of any changes to those details.

Amendments

We cannot guarantee that once an order has been placed and paid for, any amendments can be made. If you do wish to amend your order you must notify us by email: customer.service@somersethamperco.co.uk we will endeavour to amend it.

Payment

All payments are taken at the time the order is placed. We will not reserve or dispatch goods before payment us received. We accept payment with Visa and Mastercard through the PayPal platform..

All products quoted on the website and in our catalogues are in GBP. We reserve the right to amend prices of products displayed on our website without prior notice. The prices on our website are always the most up-to-date correct prices and may differ from our catalogue.

Product Descriptions & Specifications

We make every effort to ensure that the images displayed on our website and in our catalogues are a fair representation of our products. The colours you see may vary depending on the resolution of your monitor’s display and therefore we cannot guarantee that the colour depicted on your screen will always accurately reflect the colour of the item delivered.

We reserve the right to vary the dimensions, specifications, descriptions and quantities of products displayed on our website without prior notice. Please check serving sizes on the website carefully.

Allergens & Nutritional Information

We advise customers with allergies to check the manufacturer’s label upon receipt. All products are produced in nut environments and accordingly may contain nuts. If any further information is required about our products, such as serving tips or nutritional information, we would be happy to provide it, prior to purchase.

Cancellations

As some of our products are prepared fresh and produced to order, we regret that once an order is placed it is not possible to cancel it and refunds cannot be given. Similarly, once an order has been dispatched, we are unable to stop delivery or cancel it.

Returns

In the unlikely event that your package is damaged during transit, please accept the delivery and contact us as soon as possible. Accepting a damaged delivery will not affect your rights. Refusing delivery without first consulting us will only result in the goods being disposed of by the courier. If possible, please take photographs to show evidence of the damage.

Delivery

All deliveries will be left in a safe place if you are out; this is fresh food so there will be no re-delivery. If you have delivery instructions for the courier, please advise us when placing your order. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can receive the parcel on your delivery date or that it can be left safe. If buying a gift, it is your responsibility to notify the recipient of the parcel’s arrival. We cannot accept responsibility for addresses or dates provided incorrectly. A telephone number, preferably mobile, must be provided with the order. Please note that we may not be able to track the exact location of your parcel, nor estimate a delivery time. We will do our best, however, to find out this information for you.

Delivery times may vary. We will not be held responsible for any guarantees or representations made to delivery times or dates, or any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure.

Unforeseen Circumstances

Whilst every effort will be made to meet customers’ demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of an Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought, Severe Weather or other causes beyond the control of Forman & Field.

Supplier Capacity

Our suppliers are small-scale, independent producers; therefore all products are subject to availability. In the event of a product being unavailable we will contact you to arrange an alternative, issue a refund or a credit your account for a future order

Complaints Procedure

It is your responsibility to check your order carefully immediately on receipt of goods. In the unlikely event of goods being unsatisfactory, damaged or incomplete you should accept delivery and contact us within 2 working days. After this period has elapsed we will be unable to consider reimbursements. Please do not return or dispose of any goods without first contacting us.

Limitation of Liability

We cannot accept liability for any consequential loss, damage or expense caused by a failure in our service of any sort. This includes the cost of purchases made to replace an order that fails to arrive for any reason.

Use of Images

If we find that another company has used any of our pictures without prior permission, they will be required to remove it and they will receive an invoice for £1000 payable within 7 days or face court action.

Age Restrictions & Alcohol

We only sell alcohol-based items to those aged 18 and over. By placing an order with us it is confirmation that you are of legal age. It is illegal to buy restricted products if you are under age or for someone else who is under age.

Catalogue Accuracy

Every care has been taken to ensure that all prices and descriptions in our catalogue are correct. In the case of error you will be given the opportunity to cancel your order. We apologise if this is the case. Prices are correct at the time of going to print. Somerset Hamper Company reserve the right to amend prices without notice.
